BB worked with Northland Inc and Quality Tourism Development to deliver a comprehensive and unique refresh of the Twin Coast Discovery Route. The long, winding Twin Coast Route was broken down into smaller ‘journeys’ each with an individual theme and identity, that sits within the larger family of journeys and all under the umbrella of the Twin Coast Discovery Route.
BB led the creative direction and development of the Northland Journeys, enabling a unique suite of thematically aligned artwork and maps that work individually as unique experiences and together as a packaged destination product for Tai Tokerau, Northland.
A complex project with numerous stakeholders across the communities of Tai Tokerau, Northland and multiple development partners that was expanded to include the Auckland region and two Auckland Journeys.

Te Urewera Rainforest Route Example
BB created a Sense-of-Place map and touring brochure to help raise awareness of and guide people through the Te Urewera Rainforest Route. A hauntingly beautiful and unique journey through spectacular inland scenery, native bush, fresh-water lakes and small settlements. With artwork influenced by and connected to the stories and peoples of the area including Maungapohatu, Te Kooti and Rua Kenana.
